Are your courses accredited or certified?
Yes, many of our food safety training courses are accredited by International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). NSF Training complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, NSF Training is authorized to issue the IACET Continuing Education Credit (CEU).
How long is the food safety training program?
The duration of our food safety training programs varies. We offer both one-time sessions and multi-day workshops. Online courses are self-paced, allowing participants to complete the training at their convenience. Please visit the course you are interested in, to see the duration within the course description.
Can I take the training online, or is it only offered in-person?
We offer both online and in-person instructor lead training options. Our online courses provide flexibility for participants to attend courses from any location, while in-person sessions offer interactive learning experiences.
What is the cost of the food safety training courses?

Do you offer group discounts or corporate training packages?

What is the difference between instructor-led and self-paced eLearning?
Instructor-led courses are available throughout the year, both virtually and in-person. Training is delivered live by industry experts, allowing access to NSF Training’s interactive programming from the convenience of your own location or within a classroom setting.
Self-paced courses allows you to benefit from NSF Training’s engaging, interactive and technical programming while progressing at your own pace. A Learning Management System (LMS) monitors your learning progress. You can access these courses anywhere, anytime, on any device.
What sets your food safety training apart from others?
Our training programs are distinguished by our industry and subject matter expert Trainers providing practical, real-world knowledge. We offer courses developed by an in-house instructional design team who design content to meet fundamental adult learning principles ensuring our participants excel in learning and maintaining food safety standards.
What can I do if I can no longer attend the program I am registered for?
If you have pre-registered for a program but are no longer able to attend, you are welcome to send a colleague in your place. Please notify us of the change in writing as soon as possible by emailing us at nsftraining.na@nsf.org.
Are there any special materials or technology required to attend an online course?
All course materials and instructions will be provided to you prior to course commencement.
Courses incorporates group activities that require you to connect your audio and microphone through your computer (VoIP). Please ensure your computer microphone is functioning prior your session. Your participation via microphone will ensure you meet completion requirements. We strongly recommend using a headset, as this helps limit background noise and echoes. If you have access to a camera, we strongly encourage you to use it for your best learning experience.
Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my registration?
Cancellation, transfer and refund policies vary based on the type of course and timing of cancellation. Please refer to our cancellation policy or contact our customer support for detailed information.

What is a public training program?
Public training programs are open to anyone who meets the prerequisites listed on the course page.
What is a private training program?
Private training programs are delivered at your facility to save you the time and expense of sending employees elsewhere. We can design and develop a program specifically for you or we can put a tailored spin on any of our existing training programs.

How do I register and pay for a course?
Registration and payment for all public courses must be completed online using a credit card, directly on our website. If you have trouble registering for a program, please contact us at nsftraining.na@nsf.org. Full payment must be received before the first day of the course.
How will I be assessed in NSF courses?
Various assessment tools, techniques and methods may be used to assess participant learning and achievement of learning objectives (based on delivery modality). These may include quiz/examination, case study, large and small group discussion, discussion forum (online), skills/knowledge demonstration or interactivity, instructor evaluation and feedback (group and individual).
