What is this approval?
This conformity attestation approval is performed against the requirements outlined in TrinkwV, the Drinking Water Ordinance issued by by the German Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environment Agency). This is a legally binding set of requirements which ensure that these substances do not pose a risk to human health or the environment when in contact with drinking water.

Compliance is mandatory for products sold in Germany and may also be required in other European countries to ensure compliance with EU regulations.
