Look for the Butterfly and Celebrate Non-GMO Month this October
This October, NSF, a leading global public health and safety organization, celebrates Non-GMO Month. The Non-GMO Project Verification is North America’s most rigorous, trusted, and third-party verification for Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) avoidance.
“At NSF, we are proud to verify hundreds of products each year to the Non-GMO Project. To date, we have verified more than 12,000 products,” said Sonia Acuña-Rubio, Global Director of Food Product Certification at NSF.
The Non-GMO Project supports transparency and biodiversity in food, protecting genetic inheritance for future generations. Non-GMO products can be identified by the iconic Non-GMO Project Verified butterfly seal.
To celebrate Non-GMO Month, NSF is collaborating with Mary’s Whole Life, a popular Instagram account known for its helpful cooking videos and recipes, and Watkins, an NSF-certified brand that offers premium seasonings and spices. Visit NSF’s Instagram page to see the collaboration and learn more about Non-GMO certification.
Consumers and brands can participate in Non-GMO Month by looking for the signature Non-GMO butterfly seal and tagging #LookfortheButterfly and NSF on social media. NSF encourages consumers to look for brands that uphold rigorous standards like Non-GMO and Organic, ensuring the highest level of food safety and transparency.
Note: As part of NSF’s ongoing efforts to highlight certified products, we welcome client participation in social media activities and campaigns. Please contact info@nsf.org to learn more.
